500 Days of Summer

I just finished watching "500 Days of Summer" for the fourth time. Yep, nothing is wrong with your eyes it says fourth. I understand to some this movie seems awful. Falling in love with someone who doesn't feel the same back. Devastating, yes? I have to say the first time I watched the movie I felt exactly the same way until Summer says:

Summer: I woke up one morning and I just knew.
Tom: Knew what?
Summer: What I was never sure of with you.

Me: Instant connection with Summer.

Hook. Line. And Sinker. I watch the movie over and over just to feel that click. You know, when someone describes something so perfectly what you've spent years trying to put into words. Do moments like these put a skip in anyone else's walk or am I a lone soul?

Preview to the movie. I just can't, I just can't get enough.

Rockin' the Paseo Wellies

tank forever 21, jeans banana republic

I bought these boots at the paseo in Salinas, Ecuador after a visit to the fish market. Loads of fish in a never before experience and I checked out the boots everyone wore. On the way back to the car I made the comment "I want a pair of the boots everyone is wearing".

if you look closely the man in the black hat is wearing yellow wellies

Jump to the next day, searching high and low in the paseo to find plastic and tape to wrap our hammock chairs for the journey home. My mother-in-law says "Look the boots you liked". I was sold with three colors to choose from - yellow, black and white. Torn between the yellow and white, I finally decided on the white. We've been a couple ever since...

The first snow in Kansas and you better believe out came the wellies.
[You may be wondering if I have to pee in this picture but I don't!]

Did I mention they cost me around $7? Total score.

Dream Office

In this office I would be a writer. I would be able to wear whatever I wanted (say goodbye to the black pants) and make my own office hours. In the corner I would have an area where I could paint.

[sigh] A girl can dream, right...
